cloudsip.app is a softphone. It uses your internet connection to handle phone calls. You can manage multiple lines, transfer calls, and record audio. The app works on your computer just like a web browser. It connects to your existing phone system using standard technologies.
Your computer needs to meet these basic standards to run the software.
Follow these steps to set up the software on your Windows computer.
Once the installation ends, find the cloudsip.app icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to launch the application. The program opens a window ready for your credentials.
To make calls, you need account details from your phone service provider. You will need:
Enter these details in the settings tab. Click save to store your configuration. The status indicator shows green when the connection succeeds. You are now ready to make calls.
The interface displays your current calls and phone controls. Use the dial pad to enter numbers manually. Click your contacts list to dial saved people.
When a call arrives, a notification appears on the screen. Click the green button to answer. Click the red button to hang up. During a call, buttons appear for common tasks.
The software handles several calls at once. Switch between lines by clicking the tabs at the top of the window. When a new call comes in while you are busy, the software alerts you. You can place the first caller on hold to answer the second caller.
The app keeps track of your history. Every call shows up in the logs. Click the history tab to see:
You can delete these logs at any time via the settings menu.
Most connection problems stem from incorrect settings. If the status light stays red, check these items:
This application relies on WebRTC and SIP. These technologies turn your browser-based engine into a telephony tool. It supports common industry standards like PJSIP and Asterisk. This ensures compatibility with most office phone systems.
The software runs locally on your machine. All your data stays within the application interface. We do not store your call information on external servers. This protects your privacy and security.
Check the GitHub page periodically for new versions. Each update improves stability and adds features. You can install new versions directly over the current one without losing your settings. The installer handles the upgrade process automatically.
